Our timeline will give you an idea of the key things to think about while you are in further education so that you make the most of your time. 




It's time to settle in and get used to your new surroundings. Speak to your teachers, tutors or student support if you need help and guidance.

Work experience all set up? Work experience is important and will benefit you; build confidence, gain new skills and impress future employers and universities.

AS mock exams for some subjects will begin.

Get ahead and start planning! Find out where and when UCAS exhibitions are so you can visit many Universities in one place.

Attend Open Days.  Find out when open days are on UCAS and through individual University websites.


February - March 2019



Thinking of leaving Year 12 / College at the end of term?
Start thinking about your next steps.

You might want to find work or apply for an apprenticeship.


April 2019





AS Level exams begin.


May 2019



Early UCAS prep.  Be ahead of the game.  Register and get your UCAS deails, start writing your application so that you have time to concentrate on a first draft of your personal statement.

AS level exams end.


June 2019



College students will receive their overall end of year grade.


June - July 2019



AS Level results are out (August).

Make your summer count.  Enjoy your summer break but make it useful.  Gain new skills and experiences, find work experience or a seasonal job.
