Carers Week this year looks at all the ways carers can be supported to stay healthy and connected. The aim is to build communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with health and wellbeing needs of their own.

There are many events taking place during the week. Find an event near you!

Carers Week is about supporting unpaid carers, but there are many paid jobs in care which could give you the opportunity to support others.

 

Could you work in Care?

In the last 12 months there were nearly 3,400 jobs advertised online for Care workers and home carers
(Labour Insights, 2017)

Nearly 1 in 12of the total workforce in Wales work in Care related careers
(NOMIS BRES, 2017)

By 2024 Wales will need over 22,000 more Care workers and home carers
(Working Futures 2014-2024)
