Higher Education - Completing the UCAS application form
Your UCAS application may be the only chance you have of selling yourself, so you must ensure that you complete it as well as you can.
You can apply for up to five courses on your UCAS application.
No more than four courses for Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science courses can be entered on your UCAS form – the other two slots can be used for closely linked courses e.g. Biochemistry, Animal Science or may be left blank.
Listing courses – courses must be listed in the order they appear in the UCAS Directory.
Applications must be returned to UCAS by 15 January 2009
This is not true if you wish to apply to Oxford and Cambridge or for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science. These must be received by 15 October 2008.
You need to get your application in as early as you can – aim for the Autumn half term. You can apply up until the 30 June 2009, but you will only be considered at the discretion of institutions.
You must return the original form – faxes and copies are not acceptable.
If you apply on or after 1 July 2009 you will be entered into the ‘Clearing’ system (see below).
