NB. The learning outcomes are listed and explained in the document 'Learning outcomes for WRE' and 'Learning outcomes for CEG'

How to adopt the learning outcomes formally

  • In meeting this criterion establishments will need to discuss ACCAC's two Frameworks with staff.
  • A useful activity will be to hold a briefing session with staff when a summary of ACCAC's
  • learning outcomes are shared and discussed.
  • Learning outcomes specific to the establishment can be added.
  • The learning outcomes can be reworded but should adhere to the intended content.
  • If the learning outcomes are reworded it is important that delivery staff have a shared understanding of their meaning
  • Special schools may write their own adapted learning outcomes based on the ACCAC list but at an appropriate level
  • The agreed learning outcomes can then be displayed publicly e.g. on notice boards, shared with students and parents e.g. in a booklet about WRE/CEG and used within the CEG/WRE policy
  • Notes and handouts from staff meetings can be kept as useful evidence
