Assessment and moving on
e) Assessment
A formal independent assessment process must be undertaken. Establishments
will be expected to provide a range of evidence to meet all the award
criteria. An on site assessment visit of up to 2 days duration will
be carried out by trained and experienced assessors. A written summary
report, indicating strengths and areas for further development will
be produced. The report, which will be produced in a common format,
will include an appropriate recommendation to the panel.
f) Accreditation panel
The accreditation panel, made up of experienced CEG and WRE practitioners
and managers, will meet approximately twice yearly to consider assessment
reports and assessor recommendations. The panel will ensure that consistent
and common assessment has taken place and will act as the verifier
and moderator of all assessments.
g) Notification of outcome and award of certificate
Establishments will on achievement of the first award module receive
a certificate and an award plaque. On completion of the second module
the establishement will be given a second certificate plus permission
to use the award logo on stationary. Presentation of the CWQA certificate
and trophy will take place publicly as a celebration of success either
at a special ceremony and/or at the establishment. A framed certificate
will be provided. The award lasts for three years, and the expiry
date will be clearly shown. During this period the award logo can
be used by the establishment as required. Successful establishments
will be awarded a certificate as soon as possible after the award
panel has made their recommendation. A celebration of the success
of the CWQA will be held at which successful establishments will be
presented with a unique plaque to commemorate their success.
h) Subsequent module
Establishments achieving the initial module will now focus on achieving
the subsequent module and be ready for assessment within one year.
