   Employers and other partners evaluation

CEG criteria
The views of any other adults involved in CEG are sought on the effectiveness, usefulness and appropriateness of the CEG programme.

Evaluation findings are used in forward planning.

WRE criteria
The views of employers and partners involved in the delivery of WRE activities are sought on the delivery methods, effectiveness, usefulness, appropriateness of the programme.

Evaluation findings are used in forward planning.

Evidence

  • Direct questioning by assessor, perhaps over the telephone
  • Witness testimony
  • Evaluation data e.g. completed forms
  • Minutes of meetings with partners
  • Emails and letters between partners and the establishment
  • Examples of partners suggestions being acted upon

CEG notes
Examples might include employers who take part in careers days, outside speakers and career mentors.

WRE notes
This will normally be standard practice. Partners views are usually sought after every WRE activity.

Consider how effective evaluation methods are, is it time to update them? Are there any WRE activities that are given concern and would benefit from a more focussed evaluation through employers?

   Good practice guide

All events that involve partners from outside the college/school will need to involve collecting their feedback. Again the important thing is to ask whether the activity/event they were involved in met its intended learning outcomes and what could be done to make this even better. Partners expect to have their views sought and can give a fresh perspective.
