Evidence

  • Records of students using technology
  • Examples of students work
  • Discussion with students
  • Discussion with ITC manager
  • Observation of use

CEG notes
Establishments should plan their use of technology in order to help students achieve the agreed learning outcomes and not just for the sake of using them. There is a clear link between CEG and the key skill of using ITC.

Consideration should be given to equal access to technology for students and to safeguarding students' welfare.

Some examples of where technology can be useful for CEG learning include:

Finding information from web sites
Using interest inventories e.g. KUDOS, Pathfinder
Typing CVs and letters
Video recording mock interviews
Audio recording interviews with adults at work
