The provision of a CEG/WRE programme for students is supported by the expertise and services of Careers Wales, as well as other partners. The link careers adviser and business adviser are the key individuals in this partnership. Establishments will naturally have an open and continuous relationship with their adviser/s. Agreeing and monitoring the partnership agreement document will mean that
- Senior management from the establishment and Careers Wales are fully committed
- The establishment's entitlement to Careers Wales support is clear
- The information and facilities needed in order for Careers Wales to carry out their functions is agreed
- The partnership is open to amendments as circumstances dictate
- The advisers' expertise is fully utilised
- Non guidance related support is properly planned e.g. Dynamo, mentoring, work experience, Careers Library Initiative, Progress File; CWQA: consultancy; access to training courses
The key questions as part of the award will be:
- How could joint services be better co-ordinated?
- What successes and problems do we have and how can we move on?
- How does Careers Wales role contribute the ACCAC's learning outcomes?
- Is everyone fully equipped to fulfil their roles?
- To what extent is the potential of the partnership agreement maximised?
