The Careers Wales Quality Award for both the CEG and WRE modules is divided into 5 principles, namely:

Principle 1: Student achievement of learning outcomes
Principle 2: Overall management
Principle 3: People management
Principle 4: Partnerships, processes and resources
Principle 5: Evaluation and continuous review

Each principle is then subdivided into a number of criteria which schools and colleges need to meet in order to achieve the award. For example:

‘1.2 An audit of the CEG/WRE programme for each key stage is carried out against the learning outcomes for CEG/WRE.

Click on an individual criterion to find the following information:

  • Further explanation of the criterion
  • Suggested evidence needed
  • Ideas and tips for good practice in developing this criterion
  • Real examples of working documents in the form of word documents you can use and adapt

We are constantly updating this site with new good practice ideas and resources and would love to hear from you if you have anything to share.
