Most employers ask for the same information on their application forms.

Your basic details - these include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number

Education – this includes:

  • Schools or colleges you attended
  • Qualifications that you got while you were there

Work experience – this includes:

  • Any placements you had in school or college
  • Any part time or weekend jobs
  • Any volunteering placements
  • Any full time jobs

Reasons for applying – this includes:

  • Your skills (what you are good at)
  • Your qualities (what you are like as a person)
  • Why you would be good at the job
  • Why you think they should give you the job
