What are 'Other Vacancies'?
These are vacancies that we advertise on behalf of employers in Wales. They are generally jobs that are more likely to be suitable for young people of school leaving age, but of course anyone can apply for them.
Who can apply?
Anyone who can meet the employers’ requirements. An employer could ask for some qualifications, they may need to specify a minimum age because of the needs of the job e.g. over 18 if the job requires it for legal reasons like selling alcohol. Most jobs are for those aged 16 and above.
What sorts of jobs are advertised?
Lots of different jobs, have a look at the range of vacancies. New jobs and employers are advertising every day so keep looking.
We will usually post employment opportunities (but not opportunities which mean you have to be self-employed) which offer a minimum of 16 hours per week, and with at least a 3 month contract.
What will I get paid?
This is up to your employer but you will of course receive no less than the national minimum wage
