Careers Wales was launched in April 2001; bringing the seven Welsh careers companies under a national brand name and forming the first all age careers guidance service in the UK. Funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, Careers Wales has responsibility for delivering: careers information, advice and guidance to young people and adults across Wales; the Work Force Development initiative; Education Business Partnerships and Youth Gateway.

• We can offer you careers advice and guidance whatever your age
• Our Careers Libraries have Information about jobs, careers, courses and the local employment scene. You can also use our computers to research information using the Internet or careers software
• Are you 16 to 19 and looking for work or training? We offer a vacancy service to help you find you the job or training place you want.
• learndirect 0800 100 900 - phone up free for information on local and national course and training opportunities
• Youth Gateway is here to help you if you're between 16 -19 and want some support before moving onto your next step. You could improve your skills and confidence, have fun and meet new people! We also work with small groups of students in schools.
• Thinking of changing career? Want to know what you're good at or which careers would suit you? Then ask about our Psychometric and Personality Testing service for adults
• Whatever your age we can help you to improve your CV, the way you complete application forms and your interview skills

• Improving and developing Education Business Partnerships (EBP) - we provide activities like work experience, mentoring, business awareness and enterprise days which prepare young people for the world of work
• Advising on innovative ways to deliver Careers and Work Related Education and encouraging schools and colleges to improve the quality of their provision through working towards the Careers Wales Quality Award
• Offering specialist guidance to young people through individual interviews, group activities other related events
• Providing training and support on Careers Education and Work Related Education to staff in schools and colleges across Wales

• Finding the right young people to fill your vacancies
• Inform on the latest changes in education and training
• A range of tailored Business Support Services including help with recruitment and selection, Work Force Development and redundancy counselling
• Advice and support on how to work more closely with local schools and colleges

• We work in partnership with a range of organisations including Educational Establishments, Employers, Young People's Partnerships, Training Providers, CCETs, Youth Services, Job Centre Plus, local councils, DCELLS and the Voluntary sector
